1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Media Yard LLC, which operates Taveli (“Taveli,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information when you use the Taveli mobile applications, website, account-deletion portal, and related services. Taveli is intended only for adults age 18 and older.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We collect information you provide, such as your email address, display name, birth date, pronouns, biography, city, education, occupation, photos, dating intentions, and Western or Chinese astrology signs.
Private matching preferences
You may choose to provide goals, habits, personality traits, communication preferences, attraction preferences, education preferences, lifestyle or financial preferences, distance radius, and compatibility priorities. These preferences are private by default and are not displayed on your public profile unless you affirmatively choose to share them.
Location information
With your permission, Taveli may process approximate or precise location information to find introductions and gatherings within your selected radius. You can change device permission settings and matching radius at any time.
Activity and communications
We process likes, passes, matches, messages, event RSVPs, blocks, reports, and other interactions needed to operate the service. Private messages are available to participants and may be reviewed when necessary to investigate a safety report, enforce our rules, or comply with law.
Purchases and technical information
Apple or Google processes your payment details. Taveli and RevenueCat may receive subscription status, product, transaction identifiers, and renewal information, but not your full payment-card number. Our providers may process device, network, IP address, authentication, crash, and diagnostic information needed for security and reliable operation.
3. How we use information
- Create and secure your account.
- Generate and explain compatibility using the preferences and information you choose to provide.
- Filter introductions by location radius, eligibility, safety controls, and mutual preferences.
- Enable messaging, event participation, subscriptions, data export, and account deletion.
- Detect fraud, investigate reports, enforce community standards, and protect users.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, measure, and improve Taveli.
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Astrology is optional and lightly weighted. Payment never increases compatibility, changes recommendation order, or boosts profile visibility.
4. How compatibility works
Taveli combines user-selected factors such as relationship goals, habits, personality, communication, distance, preferences, and optional astrology. Compatibility is an aid—not a factual prediction or guarantee. We avoid ranking people by protected characteristics and do not expose sensitive matching preferences without consent. You can edit inputs, adjust weighting, disable astrology, change your radius, or hide your profile.
5. When we disclose information
We disclose information only as needed to operate Taveli:
- Other users: profile details you choose to make visible, plus messages and event participation shared through the service.
- Service providers: Supabase for authentication, databases, and storage; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; Ticketmaster for discovering public events within your selected location radius; Apple and Google for app distribution and billing; and hosting, security, or support providers acting for us. Taveli sends Ticketmaster an approximate geographic search area and radius, not your Taveli profile or identity.
- Safety and legal reasons: when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, investigate misuse, enforce agreements, protect rights, or comply with valid legal process.
- Business changes: in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide Taveli. When you delete your account, we remove your account, profile, preferences, connections, messages, event attendance, safety actions, and stored profile photo from active systems. Limited records may be retained where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, dispute resolution, or user safety, and are isolated from ordinary product use.
You can delete your account inside the app or at taveli.app/delete-account. Deleting Taveli does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; cancel it separately in your store account.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or appeal a privacy decision. Taveli provides profile editing, visibility controls, private preference controls, data export, and account deletion in the app. You may also contact us at privacy@taveli.app. We may verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Security and international processing
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted network transport, account-level database permissions, restricted server credentials, and access controls. No system is completely secure. Taveli and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live, using legally required safeguards where applicable.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Taveli evolves. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice as required before it takes effect. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to privacy@taveli.app.
10. Legal review notice
This policy reflects the current Taveli MVP and must be reviewed before commercial launch whenever the business address, analytics tools, advertising practices, data vendors, supported countries, or data uses change.
